New to Fatalis advice needed please. /u/Noodlmancer Monster Hunter: World

I just beat the first mission and now have access to Fade to Black.

Full transparency I sent an sos flare after I completed phase 1 solo. A player joined and messaged “stay in camp I can beat it solo” so I did.

Another 2 players joined and went to work. The mission was beaten and I got some good rewards and access to the armour and weapons. Now I want to learn the fight properly but don’t feel confident enough to join a lobby and feel I’d be letting other players down by carting if I sos again. Solo I can just about survive 10 mins but not get past phase one regularly. Should I just slog out learning the fight solo or is there some etiquette for people wanting to learn the fight in a group?
