My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and have never had sex… seeking advice!! /u/lilac267 Sex

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and have never had ‘traditional penis-in-vagina’ sex. We are intimate with eachother often and feel a lot of attraction towards eachother, however we have never done the deed.

The reasoning: everytime I think we could get there, and I ask him if he wants to have sex, he says not right now. We have spoken about it in depth outside of that atmosphere and I believe he really has a mental block about it. He has only had sex with his one ex-girlfriend a few times and he had mentioned that she was mean about how he was wasn’t good his first time as she had been with other guys before. So I thought it was a confidence thing – but I’m not sure it is.

He has expressed that he feels inexperienced – so I have told him that I feel exactly the same, as I have only had sex with women before. That did nothing. I have told him we can learn more about it together and through sex educational videos. He isn’t really interested.

The one time we got the most close was a year ago, and as soon as he got the condom on it wouldn’t stay on because he got soft.

I have no idea what to do. I love him so much and this has been the best relationship I have ever been in, its so healthy. But our sex life… rocky. He won’t even give me oral, and is getting better at pleasuring me other ways but still it is not enough. I need to sleep with him!

I have been dreaming of having sex with the man I love so much for so long everytime I think about it I feel like I’m going to burst. I am so attracted to him and he knows I have been waiting so long to have sex with him but I want him to want to as well and be comfortable doing it. I would NEVER want to rush him into anything hes not comfortable with.

I am desperate for any advice on how to move forward. I have done the best I can by talking about it in a neutral space, meeting him where hes at, etc. but nothing is working. Please reply if you know anything that could help!
