This is a creative mode project that I’ve been working on for many years, I don’t really want to ever finish it! I love love love Minecraft, it is such a wonderful way to decompress after work. I made it a personal rule not to copy/paste whole buildings and not to recreate any real-world buildings. As a result, each individual building in the city is wholly unique, with usable interior space at player scale. I used WorldEdit (lately Axiom) for roads, mild terraforming, and a few basic shapes to work with. Although I’m responsible for most of the builds now, the world started as a multiplayer factions server among my middle school friends in 2012. Their once far-flung fortresses still stand and are all within city limits now. The terrain the city sits on was generated in release version 1.4. submitted by /u/colletti_1 |
