Best approximation to Levi’s 514? /u/turaiel /r/malefashionadvice

I’ve been buying Levi’s 514 jeans for years, usually in the stretch variety. I like their 34 waist and 29 length. I wear my jeans at my hips, with a circumference of about 39″. The actual inseam seems to be 27″, and the rising length is 9″. They feel good, but maybe a little too tight right after washing.

The only problem is I have about seven pairs that all have holes in the knees and groin. I think it’s time to move on, but I’m clueless about how other brands compare.

I skimmed J.Crew and Duluth based on other posts I found here, but neither of them seems to carry my inseam/waist combination.

Has anyone else moved from 514 to other brands? If so, what did you find that you liked? I’ll be needing to shop… very soon. I’m down to my last good pair and it looks like they’re not going to last much longer.

By the way, the submission on this post kept failing without any visible error… I found an error related to the daily thread in the network response but there was nothing shown on the page to tell me that, and I don’t think this type of post belongs there anyway. I think the subreddit style may not be working properly.
