Why does your own recorded voice sound so weird compared to how you hear yourself? /u/Extreme-Contract-180 No such thing as stupid questions

Whenever I hear myself in a video or on a voice note, I cringe because it doesn’t sound anything like me (at least to me). I’ve heard it has something to do with bone conduction or something, but if everyone else hears that version of me, does that mean I sound weird all the time to other people?
