Want Help picking a new weapon to learn /u/ZeloAvarosa Monster Hunter: World

I wanna learn a new weapon ahead of time before Wilds drops.

I’ve been playing Bow since basically I started on my 100 hour or so journey through the game and it fit like a glove. I’m an MNK only player so it being able to instantly aim is very good for me, and it being a fluid weapon with dashes to reposition and being able to keep applying pressure when the monster is airborne is incredibly useful to me.

I wanna use a melee weapon that feels similar to the bow, preferably something that I can keep hitting the boss with even when it’s airborne? My only dislike is weapons with long startup times, they always feel clunky and slow to me.
