So my players just hit level 4. One of em is looking at taking the fey touched feat but is asking if they can take guidance instead of a leveled spell. Im a little torn on this because its a cantrip and i know they will spam it because it wont eat a spell slot. But at the same time its a cantrip and they are giving up a free casting of the chosen spell.
I am torn and would like to hear some other opinions on the matter
EDIT: Thanks guys for weighing in. Ive decided not to allow him to take the cantrip in place of a leveled spell. I appreciate everyone who weighed in and suggested other options. Ive passed them along to my player and will see what he goes with.
