Just finished RDR1 what a game ! /u/Ironshot2703 Red Dead Redemption

For year i have been hearing about how great RDR1 was, but i could never experience it because i didn’t have a ps3, so the steam release allowed me to finally enjoy it, i’ll try to put my thoughts about it into a few words.

The first thing that struck was the graphics, my god this game is beautiful, for a game that came out in 2010 it still holds up very well , i sometimes just found myself just stopping and admiring the beautiful landscapes.

The gameplay despite some clunkiness is still very solid and hardcore difficulty adds a good dose of tension to the encounters , the story and characters were amazing i really got attached to all of them, there wasn’t a single character that i could hate, tho the writing was sometimes a bit too on the nose with what it tried to convey, for exemple: john would often call the person he is talking to a bad person and they would say he is too and the same thing would be repeated multiple times throughout the game.

I really enjoyed this game and i think it completely deserves its reputation, i will seriously miss the characters and their goofy antics especially after that bittersweet ending, and sometime in the future i’ll try RDR2 as well
