Are spread collars less versatile than traditional collars? /u/FalseMorel /r/malefashionadvice

Or is it the other way around? I’m trying to fill out sort of a flexible business casual wardrobe but would like a few options for interviews and more casual outfits too. I’m really just lacking shirts, and I’m a little confused about collar types and materials.

Twill seems too shiny, but I guess Poplin can feel cheap or can’t be dressed down really? Should I just stick with oxford and pinpoint button-downs?

Help definitely needed, thanks!
