Do you have a fetish and, if so, can you identify what sparked it? /u/pokkopop Sex

It’s commonly understood that a lot of fetishes stem from various experiences during someone’s formative years. It’s something I find really fascinating and am wondering what these are for other people.

For example, one of the things I’m (32F) into is watersports. I assume that it’s somehow related to this childhood experience: When I was little we opposite a pub and at closing time the drunks would come out and pee in the garden. My parents really hated it and I ended up getting a fear, almost phobia, of these drunken, leering men doing it. Now, as an adult, I get really turned on by watersports (never with the man ‘giving’ though). I assume it stems from those childhood experiences. Although the turn on for me is the vulnerability and letting go, not dominance/shame, which doesn’t seem to fully fit.

What are other peoples fetishes? Do you know where it came from or can another Redditor try and work it out for you?

Also, they normally have a root in a negative experience? For example, like how many people developed a spanking fetish back when corporal punishment happened in schools (and my experiences). I’m very curious!
