Seems to me like the years are flying by and I can’t remember what and when the kids learn about stuff in school.
My eldest is almost 10 and already comes home saying things his friends have been joking about to do with oral and penetrative sex most of which is usually incorrect 😂 he has asked me before what sex is and how babies are made and I’ve told him, I’ve started explaining about his anatomy as he’s started getting body hair and stuff but is there going to be a time I have to talk about masturbation? I can’t remember if they teach them in school?
My next is 8 and my god is she stroppy, she knows about periods and not sex by how babies are made like sperm and egg process. She about her anatomy apart from discharge or masturbation, I did once walk past her room when she was exploring and when I see her next I did just tell her what she doing was perfectly natural but she might want to shut the door as its private.
My other two kids are 5 and 1 so I don’t think I need to worry about them just yet 😂
I’m just wondering how and when to broach topics. They know I am very open about everything and they always feel comfortable to ask me things 🙂
