Will I be safe if I do this? /u/SwimmingAmoeba7 Sex

I’m really embarrassed posting this but I want to be as safe as possible and have some questions. I started the pill on Jan 29th two days after my period started. This is the first time I’ve ever used pills so I don’t know how to tell if they’re working. Also I feel a little under the weather- will that impact the pills effectiveness if I don’t take antibiotics?

I want to have sex with my boyfriend on the 14th (though that’s technically the end of the week I’d ovulate without the pill). Will we be ok? We are also planning to use a condom and spermicide but idk if the spermicide will eat through the condom because I’ve heard certain lubes do. If it’s safe with the condom can we also use a safe brand of lube without it being diluted? What are safe brands?

I’m sure all these together will 99% prevent pregnancy but I want to make sure any one is safe in case any of the others fail.
