My (28f) husband’s (38m) ex wife has not been a fan of mine since we met. I never expected to have a great relationship with her, but had hoped to be civil since they have a son together (he is now 18) and we see her regularly as a result.
One thing she has started to be verbal about is that she thinks I wear clothes that are inappropriate when her son is staying with us. She is quite conservative and religious, I am not, and I don’t think I wear anything out of the ordinary. Normal around the house stuff – Tank tops, cute pajama outfits at night, workout shorts if I’m doing yoga or whatever is the extent of it. But she has popped over sometimes and often has made little comments.
She also said something to my husband after seeing photos of a bikini I wore on a vacation to Mexico. Again, I find it very normal and she is being controlling.
I said something to her about it, finally. She said I am being clueless about this.
Who is right? Do stepsons really notice, or is that a cliche?
