As of the past month or so, sex has been painful and off-putting for me. At first I thought it was because I wasn’t wet enough (my partner and I were going through it because my needs weren’t being met sexually). Even after using lube (and being aroused), though, the left side of the inside of my vagina felt like it was being stretched and torn during penetration, with the pain seeming to start at the entrance until like halfway in. Once we start going it’s easier to ignore and sex, of course, feels incredibly nice. When he pulls out after we’re done or even for a while after I’m still in pain though, like the left side of my insides have been scraped with a knife 🙁
I’ve been thinking it’s vaginismus, or a mental block, but I’m not sure. Especially since it’s exclusively on the left side. I tried to experiment with using my fingers and one was fine but two sort of hurt and when I pressed into the left side it was painful and even after taking my fingers out the pain persisted.
Any ideas are appreciated, I know you’re not medical professionals but I can’t go to a gyno any time soon and I just want to know if this is something potentially serious. I’m afraid to have sex because it hurts and it’s making me super sad. Thank you!
