i feel like everyone has a kind of standard approach or expected format to having sex. yes you have to be flexible, it depends on the partner, etcetera, and of course you develop more rigid routines with a repeat partner, but I feel that everyone has a kind of logic for sex.

for example, i was listening to a podcast where they had a sex roundtable where two of the hosts (hetero, cis) felt very strongly that the obvious format was kissing, touching, etc. > cunnilingus > penetration > break at some point for bj > penetration and finish. while other hosts said they usually expect it go cunnilingus > bj > penetration. i think it’s interesting for when you’re sleeping with someone new.
